Bedazzle Accessories

Bedazzle Accessories is a shop and a small company owned by a relative of mine. I always make an effort to go to her shop, which is located on the third floor of the University Mall in Taft, and any bazaars she is participating in. She makes jewelry but she is also cooperating with other crafters and feature their products in her shop. Her shop has expanded to also including clothes, shoes, bags, watches, phone trinkets and accessories, stuffed toys, and much more. She also holds workshops in jewelry making every so often. Bedazzle Accessories are also available in Cinderella Glorietta. You can find out more about Bedazzle Accessories here:

Whenever my mother or I visit the shop, she always gives us a family discount. During my trip, I've gotten from her 16 bracelets, one hair tie, two cell phone dust plug accessories, and two keychains. Two bracelets and the two key chains were free but as for the rest, I paid 1500 pesos. I don't know what her original prices are but at her bazaar, she was selling 3 bracelets for 200 pesos, which is quite cheap. Her other bracelets are usually 100 pesos each.

Please check out her shop. You won't be disappointed!

Kit Kat: Dark Chocolate, Matcha, Strawberry & Blueberry Cheesecake

I had planned on buying some different flavored kitkats ever since I saw the matcha green tea displayed in a restaurant I had eaten at for lunch. I was told by my grandpa that they are available in this store in Greenhills but they are kind of pricey. I had dismissed the idea but one day at Eastwood, there was a little food bazarre going on on the third floor. I decided to check it out and it turns out one of the tables was selling these different colored kitkats. The prices do seem a bit high for the tiny packs they were selling but I would never find this opportunity in the United States so I decided to purchase a few for myself and a friend of mine.

Dark Chocolate
This one was really good, especially considering I'm not all that fond of dark chocolate. The dark chocolate isn't so overpowering so I could still enjoy it. I don't think the chocolate they used was really that dark anyway. This box cost 120 pesos, I think. The box contained three of these small packets.

Matcha Green Tea
My friend really loved it but I'm not a fan of green tea so when I took a bite, I did not enjoy it. It truly does taste like green tea. This box cost 150 pesos, I believe. The box contained three of these small packets.

Strawberry
I got the last box of the Strawberry at the table. Apparently this one is their most popular flavor. I really like this one and it is nice and sweet like strawberries should be. The taste reminds me a lot of strawberry flavored pocky. This box cost 150 pesos as well. The box contained three of these small packets.

Blueberry Cheesecake
This one was the most expensive. It wasn't available in a box like the others, only in small packets individually costing 70 pesos each. There was a big triangle shaped box available full of mini packs but it cost around 500 pesos I think. This one was really good too.

Other than the Matcha Green Tea (just out of personal taste), I really enjoyed all these flavors. I really wish these flavors were more widely available. I believe the dark chocolate and strawberry flavor would be particularly popular if it were ever released in the United States. Until then, at least I know where to get them. If anyone knows where to get these in the U.S., please tell me!

Philippines Trip : Food adventures

Food is so cheap in the Philippines and affordable yet delicious food places are so easy to find. My favorite are dessert cafes and there are so many there yet I have a hard time finding a good one here in the U.S. Most of the ones I go to are in D.C. and New York, which are kind of a hassle to drive to even if they aren't that far. The Philippines is like my food haven. Oh yum...

I overstuffed myself with this burger at the airport right before my flight. I was so hungry that I let my stomach make the impulse decision. I think it was like 1/3 lbs? But it didn't look that big in the picture! It was so good though.

These donuts are from a shop called J. Co which is apparently pretty popular. I always see it packed with people. My favorite was their blueberry donut ( the one on the bottom right). It was topped with cheese and oh my gosh it was just so good.

Just a quick lunch at Yoshinoya in Glorietta.

Man, this ramen place is so good. Definitely recommending it. I got their miso ramen and it's my favorite. Located by Alabang Town Center. You should go.

Philippines locked frappuccino, mocha with white chocolate pudding. Also available in green tea with white chocolate pudding. I wish we had this here in the U.S.

My favorite place to get taro boba. Been going to this since I was little, which is surprising since I'm old now so they have been around for forever.

Cronut or croughnut? Well whatever it is, it's delicious.

 Brownies!

My favorite cereal, Koko Krunch. Seriously, I brought back four large boxes of it because I love it so much.

Salmon Linguini at Amici's in Ayala Triangle.

Herb crusted fish fillet at Conti's in Serendra.

Banana Nutella Crepe from Crazy Crepes at the food court of SM Aura.

Bannoffee cake from Banappe at Ayala Triangle. I also got a delicious sandwich but I didn't take a picture because I was starving and was too eager to eat.

Traditional hot chocolate at Mary Grace in Alabang Town Center.

 Bananalicious cake at Conti's.

Ramen from Ramen Bar in Eastwood. Not as good as Yushoken.

Siomai! These are much bigger than they look.

More crepes! This was my favorite. It had huge slices of banana with a slice of cake and vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. This was some place at the top floor of the Megamall.

"Nothing But Desserts" in Iloilo, I think more specifically Manduriao. It's right across of the Smallville 21 hotel. Top picture is chocolate mousse with mallows and nuts then two macarons in tiramisu and strawberry. The next night, got their Italian Tiramisu (it was gross, don't order it) and m&m cakepop.

My free breakfast at Smallville 21. It came with hot chocolate too. Got chicken tocino on the first day but it was a little too fatty for me so I got tapa the second day and I liked it so much better.

Coffee break which is also across from Smallville 21 hotel. Triple temptaion, made up of a layer of white chocolate pudding, dark chocolate pudding, then a crunchy bottom layer of what may be cookie. Then topped with whipped cream and chocolate chips.

A Hello Kitty Tiramisu from the Hello Kitty Cafe at Incheon airport, my last stop before coming back to the United States. Sad that my vacation is over, slightly missing the Philippines, but also happy to be back in the U.S. I can't quite say which one is home because in my mind, they are still both "home".

NOTD: Gel Nails

I'm sure everyone has heard of the whole craze about gel nails and nail polishes and how it is the new best thing ever. Anyway, I have been reluctant to get gel nails just because the polish itself is so expensive and getting them done at the salon is even more expensive. However, my mother just raved about them and she paid for me to get them, hence why I finally tried them out. Well, I'm a believer, this product is awesome.

Even in the salon, I was shown multiple times their durability. The lady would wipe my nails with towels and what not and they stayed. No more freaking out about ruining my manicure on the way home. These last like no other. The only time it came off was when my nail broke. But I wasn't expecting it to stay anyway since my nail broke off with it. It hurt a lot since these are all my real nails. Anyway, got some cute light blue color on my toes as well, very summery.

One month later, they are still on. My recommendation? Definitely get them since they are worth the price. However, I would not recommend getting them if your nails grow quickly since the color will shift upwards with the growth quite noticeably. As you can see with my french tips, it has become quite noticeable. If you are the type of girl (or guy, I don't judge) who likes to change their nails frequently, these are definitely way too expensive to only keep for a short amount of time and they are hard to get off. If you like long lasting color, gel nails are the ones for you!

Note: Today I return from my trip from the Philippines! Hopefully I'm not incapacitated by jetlag.
