Feeling so Minty Fresh

I'm totally all over the color mint nowadays. I mean, I've always loved mint but now there are so many mint items available since the whole pastel thing is in style. Recently, I have bought a lot of mint items and maybe I might have gone a bit overboard on the shopping. Just a bit. But I do love mint! I can't help myself.

Mint is even one of my favorite flavors. It is no secret that mint chocolate is my favorite type of ice cream and that I naturally prefer desserts that have mint in them. I mean just look at this mint chocolate cupcake for Georgetown Cupcakes and I love eating minty truffles, like this mint chocolate truffle from Godiva.

Just recently, I even strayed from my usual french nails to go for some mint colored nails! I purposely used my sweet mint eos lip balm as a guide to finding the perfect mint shade! I'd say the color is almost exact, don't you think?

A few things I bought from Forever 21 that are mint. They do have a lot more things that are mint but they weren't on sale. I rarely buy things that aren't on sale. I will just wait until all those mint items become out of season so I can swoop them up at a sale price! I got the scarf for $6.99. One of the socks is a thin sock with a lace design for 99 cents and the other pair is a plush feeling material for $1.99!

Charlotte Russe has so many mint things! Ahh I simply love this shop. This skirt is super comfortable and only $10. The rest, I bought online. The boots are listed as laser-cut lace up platform booties and were on sale for $22.99. There was a deal that if you buy one pair of shoes, you get a second pair for only $10. So I got the gold-plated t-strap thong sandals for only $10. The lace-up crochet oxfords were on sale for $12.99. Lastly, to be able to qualify for free shipping, I bought the stripped hacci crop top for $6.49.

Even my lineplay avatar has become mint themed! If you have a lineplay, add me! My username is Meggo (with a green heart emoji). Hope you enjoyed this minty post! I hope to add more mint things to my wardrobe later on!

Pokeball Charms from CafeSweeten

I have another darling order from the Etsy shop CafeSweeten. This time, it is something that fulfills my Pokemon obsession. This order actually consists of two separate items technically, according to Etsy. The three pastel colored pokeballs are a set and then the regular red pokeball is a separate item. In a way, this will be two reviews in one post.

The pastel pokeball charms come as a set. Buying them as a set is cheaper than buying them individually. Individually, each one is $6.95 but as a set, it is $16.50. That's a savings of $4.35, which may not seem like much but if you're like me, every penny saved counts in the end. The red pokeball is also $6.95. The item total would have been $23.45 but I did have a 10% off coupon. This time, I did have to pay for shipping, which was a total of $2.50 since it is $2 for one item and then $0.50 for any additional item. Added all together, the order cost $23.60. So all in all I had saved $6.70. The order was placed July 13, shipped out on July 16, and delivered to my house on July 21 via USPS. Quite fast, isn't it?

First thing I thought when I received the package was wow, these are much bigger than I thought they would be. Believe me, that's a good thing. In the pictures, they looked small and I was okay with that. So the size of the product was a nice surprise. The charms are very well made and the colors of the pastel charms are so pretty. The charms feel sturdy and not at all delicate. They are perfectly round and the colors are even, no chips or dents.

I'm keeping the mint and pink pokeball charms for myself. Actually, at first, I wasn't sure what to do with the pink one since I'm not a huge fan of pink but after receiving it, I did like it. These two pokeball charms are prefect accessories to my pokemon themed DS and 3DS. The other two will be gifts. I'm a huge pokemon fan, can't you tell? At the bottom right, the animal crossing charms from my previous order are displayed. You can find that review here.

Isn't the seller so sweet? It really is important to me when a seller shows, in these little ways, how appreciative or gracious they are. It is important to me that they are nice and polite. It shows me that they are trustworthy people and are good to their clients. And through our email correspondence about the past order and also the graciousness shown in this order, I would like to label this seller as a trustworthy person. Would I buy from CafeSweeten again? Yeah, absolutely.

House of Lashes "Darling"

For a while now, I have been looking for good quality and affordable lower lashes to replace the ones I have. I found out about  House of Lashes through instagram by looking through the photos of some of my favorite MUAs and seeing what products they used.

The lashes I ordered are their bottom lashes in the style of "Darling" as well as their eyelash adhesive. The bottom lashes "Darling" are $7 individually but if you get the 3 pack, it is $18, which saves you a bit of money. The eyelash adhesive is $8. Although pricier than what I usually spend, it does claim to be latex-free and waterproof. MY order came out to be $26, which made me eligible for free shipping. The lashes were delivered quickly and within the time the company had stated.

The eyelash glue has such cute packaging and it actually shimmers if you put it against the light. It actually helps in a way because when you apply it on the lash, you can tell the glue is almost dry when it no longer shimmers. I don't have a latex allergy so I cannot prove whether it is latex free or not but it is good to be safe to get latex free products. Increased skin exposure to latex can lead to a latex allergy. The glue is very quick drying and dries clear. The glue is quite long lasting and also stayed on despite my sweating outdoors.

The packaging of these lashes is just so cute! Definitely one of the cutest packaging I've seen. When I first tried on the lashes, they were quite long and looked a bit unnatural. However, all they needed was a little bit of trimming, which I believe those MUAs also did, and now the lashes look completely natural. The style of the lashes make them look very natural as well. The photo above is of the lashes already trimmed.

I can definitely see why a lot of my favorite MUAs get these lashes because I absolutely love them. These lashes look so natural and feel very comfortable. My bottom lashes are pretty much non-existent and even with mascara, they aren't very visible. These are natural enough to look like normal lashes with just mascara. I personally hate using mascara and I find these lashes to be easier to apply and remove. I would definitely purchase these again.

ULTA hair appliance caddy

As usual, I have ended up buying something other than what I was looking for at my local ULTA and I love it. This hair appliance caddy was on sale $14.99 and only came in black, as far as I could tell. I didn't see it on the ULTA website so maybe it was on sale because they are no longer distributing it and are simply trying to get rid of their leftover stock. However, I do have a lot of hair tools so I did think I needed this.

...and thank goodness I got it because it is great. It is really big and spacious with a lot of pockets both in the two large spaces and on the sides. So the bag has two large pockets, one of which has one smaller pocket that spans the length of the bag and the other has four smaller pockets of different sizes. The bag also has two pockets on each side. It has a very sturdy handle that can bear the weight of my hair tools. The product also boasts heat resistant pockets.

So I have a lot of hair tools. Probably a lot more than I should have. Anyway, on one large pocket, I've got my hair dryer along with the different dryer heads. On the large pocket with four smaller pockets, I've got my Nume 4play, a dirty play on words due to the four different heads. So I've got the base in the big pocket while each wand has their own pocket. On each of the side pockets, I've got my straightener on one pocket while the cords are in the adjacent pocket. Fits them quite well especially considering that one of my straighteners is quite large, being 1.75 inches wide.

Not to mention, the caddy also comes with some hair care freebies! I'm a sucker for freebies so of course I bought this. No regrets though! Now I have something that properly stores and separates my hair tools!

Animal Crossing Charms by CafeSweeten

It's no secret that I am a huge fan of animal crossing. I've probably spent most of my life of the past three years playing City Folk and then New Leaf. Anyway, I've been desiring animal crossing charms to attach to my new USB which is so tiny that I could lose it but luckily has a hole for attachable charms.

Etsy is definitely the place to go to get handmade items. These video game merchandise are usually handmade anyway. I was attracted to the items from the seller CafeSweeten because the seller was offering free shipping. The charms available were the leaf/furniture, money bag, and fossil charms that were $7.50 individually and $16.50 for all three (that's a savings of $6). The seller had quite a few good reviews so I decided to go for it.

In terms of customer service, CafeSweeten was very nice especially in working with me to change the shipping address and move the shipping day to a later date of my choosing. I was on vacation outside of the country so I didn't want the package to arrive too early before I did. It shipped on July 1 and already arrived July 5, which is very quick. I love fast shipping!

Let me just say that the quality of the items are really great. They are very neatly done and feel quite sturdy, not at all easily breakable. They look absolutely great and I would definitely buy from CafeSweeten again. Anyway, the leaf and money bag are for me but I will be giving the fossil as a gift to my fellow acnl obsessed friend. These would make such nice yet simple gifts to any animal crossing lover.
