Korean Sheet Masks
A friend of mine came back from Korea with some face masks. As you know, I am huge on skin care and Korean products are simply top of the line, nowadays. How could I pass up the opportunity when my friend offered to get some for me? She got me twenty in total. A pack of ten of the honey mask and a pack of five of the bamboo mask and the green tea mask. I don't know where she bought them from though but it was $1 per sheet so these 20 masks cost $20, much cheaper than the alternative at Sephora.
Honey
This honey mask is very syrupy and gooey, not to mention the smell is very sweet. I was almost afraid it would attract ants. The sheet mask is definitely soaked in this honey and since it is so thick, it does take a while for the mask to dry. To make the most out of these masks, I leave it on as long as I can. My face ends up feeling so moisturized. Once I use the initial face mask, there is actually still a lot left of the serum in the bag. I end up saving the bag and keep constantly using the mask to get more of the serum to spread on my face. I'm not going to Korea anytime soon so I want to make the most of these products. This honey mask definitely left my skin soft and smooth. Though caution to oily faces, these masks are meant to be moisturizing. This will make your face oily.
Bamboo
This mask only has a slight fragrance, barely noticeable actually. It is like the green tea mask where the serum is more like water rather than the syrupy thickness of the honey mask. The shape of the mask itself doesn't fit me as well as the other two. I felt like the eye holes were too small and the lip hole was too big. Anyway, I did think this one would dry out faster than the other two but my face still feels moisturized when it is removed. The product absorbs into the skin quite well and my face doesn't feel overly oily afterwards.
Green Tea
This mask does not have a strong smell like the honey mask and the texture is more like of water. The mask applies nicely and dries quickly since it is more of a liquid than a syrup. There is also not much left in the packet so it really is a single use thing. However, it does still leave my face very soft. I feel like it absorbs easier because it is more like a liquid and it doesn't leave my face feeling too oily.
Lush "Sacred Truth"
This has actually turned out to be my favorite face mask from Lush. It has the texture that I like that makes it easy to spread on the face as well as a pleasant and not too strong smell. It is definitely moisturizing. It does feel like it leaves a film of some sort, like a layer on the skin after it is washed off. Some people don't like that sensation but I feel like it helps protect and moisturize the skin. Of all the face masks I've tried from lush, this is my new favorite. I definitely recommend it.
