Braided Hair Headband

Now I absolutely love this headband. It makes a simple look very classy and it makes it look like I put more effort in than I actually did into my appearance. I got this from ebay, I don't remember who the seller was. I don't remember exactly how much I paid for this but I do know it was cheap, under $2 most definitely.

Now, it is synthetic hair so it does look very shiny, but it blends just fine with mine. It's not so overly obvious that it is fake. Another downside is that these headbands have a limited variation of colors. My hair is easy to match with because it is jet black (#01) and most synthetic black is the same color. The other colors, I believe, are dark brown, light brown, and blonde. I don't know the exact shade of the colors and most sellers don't say so on their page, which makes it harder to match it to your hair. You will just have to guess from the picture if the color will match your hair or not. Quite risky, I know, but at least the risk comes at a low price?

Just get your hair to go over the sides of it and it should blend right in!

Hello Kitty 5 piece Brush Set

Went on a little trip to Sephora today to use my $25 gift card that I got for Christmas. I was really excited with this gift because I'm a pretty cheap person and the prices at Sephora are just so expensive to me. This provided an opportunity to get something that I would normally not buy.

They had a lot of things to offer, but I really did go with the intention of getting something from their Hello Kitty line. I just love Hello Kitty! However, all their Hello Kitty stuff is so expensive. But, they were having a sale on certain items!

Normally, this cute little brush set and case is $49. It's adorable but quite expensive. However, today, they were having a sale and the "wild thing" version of the Hello Kitty was only $29. Using my gift card, I really only paid $4 extra for it! It's so cute and it can probably hold a lot of all my other brushes too! I just love Hello Kitty!

Christmas!!!

This is kind of a late post on my Christmas but I've been busy. Winter Break has been such a hectic time.

Anyway, spent Christmas at home with my parents as usual. My brother loves decorating the place and he really pushes my parents to kind of go all out with the decorations. Well, we went with a purple theme on our tree this year. Yes, this is a real tree. We have been buying real trees for quite a few years now.

We have our lovely stockings on the fireplace. Got our little Santa Clause and Nut Cracker on the floor.

We have a nice Christmas village that seems to be growing ever year. The little carousel plays music.

We have our Nativity Scene on top of my brother's toy chest.

Lastly, we have decorated our stairs with pine garland and hanging are the Christmas cards of family and friends that we have received in the mail this year. This is a tradition that we do every year.

Short Feather Hair Extensions

So this nice set of feather extensions, I actually got for free as part of a Christmas deal along with my 15 inch hair extension set. It did not come like this though.

Purchased from: hairextensionsale
Stated Price: $19.99
price I paid: $0
Includes: 6 feathers (pink, brown, blue, red, orange, purple) and a pack of micro rings.

The clips did not come with it. I have these clips from my extensions when I combined some of the pieces, which warranted taking out the clips on a few pieces. I still have a lot left over in terms of these black clips. Now here is how I modified these to become clip ins.

I bought a whole lot of tiny black rubber bands from the dollar store. They are so small and that is what I used there. I cut two of them in half and looped them through the holes of the clip. Then lined them up with the feather and used the micro ring to attach them together. This was a pretty simple task to do. It turned out quite nicely.

I usually like to wear two at a time, one on top of the other. It looks nicer to me than just having one. They are good sized feathers and very visible, especially against black hair.

Green Hair Extensions

Length: 22 inches
Texture: straight
Color: neon green
Material/type: Synthetic
Price: $1.50 (per piece)
Purchased from: ebay

I bought this a long time ago. I don't remember who the seller is. Supposedly, this type of synthetic hair can be curled or straightened at low heat but I have yet to try it. I like to keep my hair straight anyway and the good thing about straight synthetic hair extensions is that they stay pin straight all the time. The color is very bright and vibrant. They are extremely shiny and obviously synthetic, but it's more of just a pop of color piece for me so I'm not so much worried about that. After all, I'm not trying to make it look natural. It's green.

In the above picture, I'm wearing it with my short hair extensions set. As you can see, it is a lot longer than that hair. It really pops amid the black. I wear it more with the long hair set just because it is the same length. Sometimes, I wear it as a pop of color at the bottom of my hair, underneath all my extensions.

My First Drill Day

Another weird dream. This weekend, a friend of mine, who I shall call Lynn, went to drill. Apparently they went shooting at the range today or something. I always did wonder what they did at drill. So I guess my dream was I went there too. Here goes.

I'm at drill with my friend Lynn. I went with her because for some reason I can this time. They were all in...I guess PT clothing? I don't know. Whatever this place was, it looked more like a park/camp ground. It had nice green grass and a lake with a fountain in the middle. It even had cute hills. Then there is an eating area that is under a roof with rooms for a bathroom there. So there I am with my friend Lynn. I'm actually not in PT clothes. I'm wearing a white tank top with my hot pink shorts. I stuck out pretty bad.

So Lynn tells me we are going shooting. We get to the shooting area and everyone else takes these big guns (rifles?) out of their pockets and I only brought two small hand guns in my pockets (I don't know where these pockets came from. In real life, these shorts have no pockets). Lynn and her friends see that and laugh at me. So she tells me to go home and get my rifle. Fortunately, home was walking distance away. So I leave the little park thingy to go home.

So I'm walking home and there is some kind of slowly spreading fire near the park/camp. There wasn't anyone out on the streets except me so I figure they had all been evacuated. Anyway, I miss my turn to home because my parents had moved into a new house and I wasn't familiar with the neighborhood yet. It was all very confusing. I pass by a school bus which was not a school bus at all but a pickup truck where they put children in the back because for some reason, that is the accepted practice of busing children in this area. So I pass the bus and finally am one block (but a very long block) away from home. I try to surprise my parents by sneaking through the backyard but they happen to be on the patio so that was a fail.

My mom and my aunt are on the patio hanging out. It's a nice covered patio that is painted white. Wherever we are, from the patio, you can see the river. So I go inside the house and the storage room is next to a small bedroom. I peek in the bedroom and the baby (I have no idea where that baby came from but apparently it's part of our family) is up on the bed, awake. The baby sees me looking and starts to cry. My mom comes in to get the baby. I go in the storage room and get my rifle and head back out the house through the front door.

The house we have now is a nice single home that looks pretty spacious on the outside. So I leave the house and cross the street. I am walking and my friend Derek is calling my name, telling me to come over. So I go and he asks where I'm going and I tell him. He tells me that they are all just hanging out in this open roof restaurant, eating. I look inside and it's pretty much everyone I know from CCM there. They all say "Hi Megan" in unison. I'm almost tempted to stay and not even go back to the drill place. But I tell them I have to go so he tells me to take a brownie. I go ahead and take two. With one in my mouth and another in my hand, I run back to the drill place.

I'm running and it seems like the slow fire has spread a bit since I passed. It is still burning on a few houses and trees down the street I'm walking. Still no one around. It's actually quite an eerie silence and there are no sounds of ambulances or firetrucks coming. There aren't even any sounds of animals around. So I keep running and eventually reach the drill place. The front of it became flooded because I guess the fire melted some of the huge ice sculptures and now the water from it has flooded the place. The people aren't shooting anymore and they are in that eating area, which is raised from the ground so the water isn't there. I walk somewhat in the water and my friend Lynn tells me that they are done shooting. I went home for nothing. I'm so mad because this is the third time she has told me to go home to get something that I ended up not needing.

I ask them if they are going to do anything about the fire, you know, being in the national guard and all. They tell me they keep hearing about the fire but they don't know where it is. *facepalm* I tell them it's right outside the gates of the park. So they walk over to where I am and see the fire. They just stare at it but don't do anything. Anyway, drill is over now so Lynn and I drive back to my parents' house. It's nighttime now. We are out on the sidewalk. Lynn is talking to some of her friends from drill. She then tells me to go buy some cigarrettes in the store nearby. She hands me a $4 bill and a $1 (wherever we are, we have colorful bills). I agree to do it and go in the store.

The store is pretty small. It's about the size of a child's bedroom. The owner of the store is the cashier. He is some African guy whose English is not very good. I'm trying to ask him if he has cigarettes but he is having trouble communicating and he is mixing in Spanish with his English and I suck at Spanish so it isn't working out that well. I thought he was talking to me about cigarettes in his shop since there were boxes that looked like cigarette packs on the wall behind the counter. What he actually told me was a friend of his was selling this really awesome something, whatever that something was, you can smoke it. So I'm trying to figure out what he's saying and he tells me that his friend is selling that something at his store in some place. To tell me where it is, he shows me a map and points to where the city is. He then tells me that it is going to be on February 12 and the store will open secretly at 3 am and you can only get it then so I better be there.

The store suddenly dissolves and turns into this field on an island. So I ask him how far the place is or how long it would take me to drive there. He tells me it is about 60 songs away if you are playing music. I wasn't really going to get much more out of that so I happen to have my fishing rod so I go ahead and go fishing. I catch a few fish and put it in my bag for tonight's dinner. After my bag is filled, me and the guy go to the entrance where the bridge is to leave the island. Lynn meets me there and says she wanted to go fishing too. But it's too late and I'm already done. So we are walking on like the wooden pier when we get to the bridge.

So the bridge is now white and I know that wasn't the bridge before because this one is made of plastic. Apparently they were doing bridgework and we didn't get the memo. We start to go up the slippery plastic bridge. I'm holding on for dear life on the railing. This plastic bridge has lots of holes in the middle, big enough for anyone to go fall through. There are a lot of large fish down there in the lake surrounding the island we were just on. So I close my eyes and go up as fast as I can. But I swear, the plastic starts turning into a plastic bag as we go up. I'm the last in the line so the plastic bag is all stretched and the holes wrap around my ankles instead of staying hard plastic. My friends reach the normal wooden part of the bridge and pull me up. I have to untangle my feet from the plastic.

I'm relieved now that we are on the wooden part of the bridge. We are so high up right now because of the height difference between the island below and the cliffs around it. We are walking, and then the bridge just falls. We hold on for dear life but at least it is wooden, so it floats on the water. At this point I'm pissed. It was becoming my worst day ever.

The End.

I got the couture in black. I just wanted a good straightener that has temperature controls with smaller plates and is strictly for dry hair. I didn't want to spend that much but I still wanted a good straightener that I can use on my hair. I originally wanted the petite straightener, but they didn't have it in stock and I wasn't willing to wait for it to go back in stock (I'm impatient). Also, the company is slow with email replies. They reply much faster on their facebook page.

I like this straightener a lot. I like how big the range for the temperature is, so I can straighten my extensions at lower temperatures to reduce the damage I do to them. It's not as small as I hoped but it is small enough. It works very well in straightening my hair when it's dry, which is quite a feat as it is. However, the temperature is adjusted by a dial instead of a digital adjuster so you kind of just have to guess or estimate what temperature you are on the dial. I don't know yet but I've been thinking of buying the petite. Having a straightener with less than 1 inch plates would be nice.

I paid a lot for this set. This was a big splurge for me and the most expensive hair styling tool I have ever bought. Parting with this much money for a single item was almost painful, but I still think it worth it. Now, I've owned a lot of cheap curling irons before just because I'm such a cheap person. They never really curled my hair and after curling with lots of hairspray, they would fall out within 20 minutes. It was very disappointing. However, I never could justify buying such an expensive curling iron before, but my family members changed my mind. You definitely get what you pay for.

Now this 4play is pretty pricey, but it's like you get four curling irons in one. You can have a variety of sizes and the tiny 9mm to 18mm mini reverse is quite an interesting little gadget. Of course, I had to put it to the test. My friend, who has pin straight Asian hair, reports having hair that does not hold a curl and even with lots of hair spray, does not stay. She says the only time her hair stayed in curls was when a professional did it for a wedding but even then, it had fallen out by then end of the night. She had such long hair so I found her to be the perfect candidate in putting this curling wand to the test.

I chose to use the 9mm to 18mm series. I did her hair myself. I did not use any hairspray because I wanted to see the ability of this curling iron on its own. The left picture is the hair right after I had curled it. Then my friend put her hair in a bun and slept in a bun overnight. The right picture is her hair the next day.

I'd say it worked pretty well and she thinks so too.

Purchased from: NuMe
Posted Price: $155
Price I paid: $50

I happened upon the NuMe site when I saw a pretty good deal for a voucher. I was looking for a new straightener, preferably wet to dry, because my cheap straightener just did not do the job. My hair is wavy/curly and very resistant to heat. I needed something much stronger. I checked out the website and the positive comments really appealed to me. The site happened to be having a Christmas special in which they offered this straighter plus a bottle of their argan oil for $50. It was such a good deal! I didn't actually want the argan oil but I gave it to my mother as a gift. It was actually a pretty expensive bottle on its own so I thought it would be a good gift. She loved it.

Anyway, about the straightener, I got the Wet-To-Dry in black. At 1.75 inches, it is a pretty large straightener. It's harder to use with short hair. You cannot adjust the temperature. It is at a constant 410 F. If your hair is dry or gets damaged easily, I do not recommend this at all. But for me, it was perfect. It dries my hair to a kind of straight that I have never had before. You would almost think I had naturally straight hair! And the straight hair will last until the next shower. It was wonderful. Still currently my favorite straightener.

Princess of the Underground Castle

Another odd dream as usual. It seems my main character is usually a girl. Perhaps her character is reflective of me? I do see resemblances but in the dream, it doesn't feel like first person so I don't think it is me exactly, but like a character my mind created that has some similarities and perhaps is based off of me. Ok, well here goes.

A young girl, most likely a teenager of about 16 or so, wakes up to a phone call on her cell phone. She answers it and it is her relatives wishing her a good day. She smiles and tells them thank you. She stretches and gets out of bed to turn on the light.

Her bedroom looks quite small at first for her bed. She has quite a big bed with expensive sheets and pillows. However, that is actually just an area for her bed. Her room extends much farther out than that. Her room resembles an apartment but it is just one room in the house. It is large because she is part of a very rich family.

So shown above is her room. It was simply too difficult to describe with words. I'm terrible with that type of thing. The room has pretty much everything included. I mean, she doesn't really need much space for anything else. So you can infer that she does not leave her room very often.

She is simply dressed in her tank top and shorts when there is a knock on the door. She gets up and walks through the mini kitchen to the only entrance to her room. Now I say mini kitchen because the cabinets and stuff makes the kitchen hallway quite narrow and it is a very small kitchen. She only has a mini kitchen because she doesn't really cook. So there is a large refrigerator and lots of cabinet space of snacks and whatnot but a small stove and a nice microwave. Not much counter top space because she doesn't really need it. She does have a coffee maker and a toaster and a really small sink. She doesn't mind it though because it fits to her needs. After all, the mansion has its own large kitchen with hired cooks to make her meals. Anyway, back to the story.

She opens the door and there stands her brother and a friend. Her brother is in the military, you can kind of tell by his hair cut, and he met his friend there. She lets them in and they talk for a little bit and as siblings do, they fight. And so she hits him because she gets annoyed and her brother just laughs. Then her brother just goes and takes a nap in her bed. The friend is kind of just sitting there awkwardly. He's quite a nice guy, soft spoken and mild mannered but definitely not timid. Unlike the brother, he's tall and attractive with dark hair. In other words, the girl likes him.

This is too difficult without names. Ok so I'll just name the brother umm Scott. Then I'll name the girl Michelle. And I'll name the friend Jeremy (for some reason I thought of Jeremy Renner when I was thinking of names). Ok, back to the story.

So Michelle likes him. And while her brother is sleeping, she is trying to attract his attention. So she does that thing where she bends over to show him her butt in her short shorts and he doesn't seem to even notice. Like seriously, she is doing it so obviously that it almost looks desperate and he is not even looking. Unbeknownst to her, Jeremy actually likes her and he does notice but he is trying not to show it and is doing it well. It comes across though as if he is not interested in her and that just makes Michelle frustrated.

So thinking he doesn't notice, she walks down her hallway/closet. It is a hallway/closet because it technically was supposed to be a hallway but she turned it into a closet by lining the walls with shelving and storage things that are meant to be in a walk in closet but she simply has too much stuff. So the walls are filled with shelves of shoes, hats, accessories, drawers of jewelry, lined with clothes. Just so much stuff. So she walks down and into the living room. It is quite a nice living room with a huge TV and of course, every game console in existence. To her right is a bathroom and to her left is a large covered patio. She goes out on the patio and you can see the backyard of her family's estate. Then on the right of the patio is this little hut looking thing. It's an outdoor sitting area with the windows of it lined with a screen so bugs don't come it but you can still enjoy the mild weather.

Inside the hut, there is a secret passage. No one knows she has one in there because no one ever really goes in her room, especially that hut. Plus, it is hidden in that hut. So she goes down the secret passage thinking no one has followed her but actually, Jeremy followed her. He was curious to know where she was going. So she is going down this stone passage that seems to be going way underground. Then there are a set of booby traps to make sure no one who isn't meant to be down there goes down there. Right before the first booby trap, which is a wall of spikes falling down on the room, Jeremy freaks out and stops her.

She is surprised that he was behind her and a little annoyed that she didn't sense him. It's too late. Her secret is out now anyway so she tells him not to worry and follow her. So through the first booby trap, she has mastered getting through it. But Jeremy goes through it faster than her, which annoys her. Michelle likes to win. So going through the booby traps becomes like a game to them as they go through it. All the while, bonding cheesily I guess. So they reach the main square of the underground castle and it is huge. There seems to be a party going on but in the underground, there is always a party going on.

Michelle leads Jeremy down to meet her friends. Right now, they are having a chocolate party so there are lots of stands of different types of chocolates. There is a chocolate fountain and chocolate waterfall and chocolate sculptures. Just so much chocolate. She takes him over to the chocolate truffles stand, which is the biggest stand and is in the center of everything. It is a circular stand with the vendors inside and the stand is all glass so the people can see the chocolate and pick what they want. Michelle happens to be the princess there so she gets what she wants for free. She and Jeremy goes around and eat all the chocolate they want.

Michelle meets up with a good friend of hers, I'll call her B (I just remember her name starts with a B but I don't remember the name). So she introduces them and B knows this is the guy Michelle likes so she gives her a winky face and leaves them alone. Above, fire is blowing from the mouth of the great stone dragon. He can't really do much since he is stone so he can't move from up there. He just blows fire to pass the time every now and then.

They spend time together there for hours and bond. They both get to know each other and find out they like each other. Then they kiss and they go to her room down there and do stuffs *cough*sex*cough* like cuddle and whatever. So yeah, Michelle is convinced that they are now dating because of what happened. Because, I mean, what kind of guy does that with a girl and just leaves right? *sarcasm*

So they leave the underground and go back to her room. Brother still happens to be sleeping. Must have been a super long nap. After that day though, nothing has changed. He still treats her like he did before, which is basically being uninterested. They don't really talk or hang out. Sometimes, it almost seems like he avoids her and Michelle is just devastated by this. This goes on for like weeks. So the day of her birthday party up in the mansion, Jeremy and her brother are in the party. During the party, he so obviously ignores her even more even though she was all nice and dressed up.

When the party ends, she is super frustrated and locks herself in her room. She pretty much hates him at this point and Jeremy knows it too. So in her large ballgown dress, she runs down to the underground to have the party she really wanted. Her friend B is setting up the party for her. Michelle gets there early though because B is still setting up. As they are talking, Jeremy comes down. B sees an awkward moment so she conveniently leaves the two alone to go to the main party room to set everything up. Michelle is pissed off and refuses to talk to him at first, but then starts yelling after Jeremy keeps following her.

Of course she is frustrated that he ignores her but he then tells her that he didn't want to make it obvious. Just because he comes from a poor family and blah blah blah status quo and socioeconomic disparities, like a reverse Jane Austen novel.  He says she made it so hard especially that night to ignore her because she was so pretty and she forgives him and they make up.

Meanwhile, in the other room, B is directing the workers where to put where. In the process, the workers accidentally knock down the pillars that are holding the great stone dragon up. So he falls to the floor. The great stone dragon, never having moved for centuries, freaks out and starts blowing fire everywhere. His magic fire somehow turns B into an iphone. So he is blazing fire everywhere and out the entrance. So Michelle and Jeremy go in the room and close the door so it doesn't come out. They have to calm him down somehow.

Jeremy starts to be all heroic and dodging the flames around the room to save B and the other workers. Michelle walks right in front of the great stone dragon. He is about to blow fire on her. Of course, this is a climax moment right here. Jeremy sees what is happening and does the slow motion run while yelling NOOOOOOOOOO! In his attempt to save Michelle from the deadly flames but come on, she's no damsel in distress (warning: this will not be your typical helpless princess. I hate that archetype). So she uses her powers to redirect the flames into a magic ball which she then turns into concrete. The great stone dragon is in awe so he stops blowing fire. She then uses the concrete to create the pillars that were holding the great stone dragon up and she levitates him back to where he belongs.

All is well now except that B is an iphone and they can't really figure out how to fix that. She is screaming curse words and I guess she is a 4S because she has that Siri screen on that has what she is saying on there. So she is forever doomed to be an iphone. Well they still get the party together have lots of fun that night.

Epilogue to years and years later. Michelle and Jeremy are married, living in a small house that looks like what Michelle's room used to be. They still have the secret passage and Michelle uses B as her extra phone. Well, Jeremy and Michelle  switch off sometimes so B can have a change of scenery.

Long Hair Set

So this set of hair is pretty large. It is actually made up of 3 different sets. It was really hard making long hair thick enough to my liking just because the ends get so thin. Longer hair needs to be more grams to look as thick as short hair that is maybe only 100g or so. Not to mention long hair is pretty expensive. I really had to hunt for those cheap deals. So here is information on the original sets:

Original Sets
Length: 22 inches
Weight: 110 grams
Texture: Straight
Color: #01
Material/type: Remy Human Hair
Price: $27.74
Purchased from: greatlength

Length: 24 inches
Weight: 120 grams
Texture: Straight
Color: Ordered #1B but got #02
Material/type: Remy Human Hair
Price: $35.99
Purchased from: dohairx

Length: 24 inches
Weight: 120 grams
Texture: Straight
Color: Ordered #1B but got #01
Material/type: Remy Human Hair
Price: $35.02
Purchased from: dohairx

As you can see, this is quite a large set. But the reason I bought so much is because the ends of these long hair sets are so thin that it doesn't look good. So I found that I had to buy more sets to make the ends look thicker to be the way I want. That's the downside with ebay hair, the ends are so thin even though the top can be thick. They kind of try to cheat the system by saying the hair is a certain weight but it is actually the package weight and not just the hair weight. Not all the strands go down to the length that is stated, probably only like 25% is actually of full length.

So I did modify the hair to my liking and here is the set now:

Length: 20-21 inches
Weight: unknown (maybe around 300g?)
Pieces: 8 pieces
Texture: Straight
Color: #01
Material/type: Remy Human Hair

As you can see, I did quite a bit of modification. I managed to bring all three sets down to a combined total of 8 pieces, making all these pieces quite thick compared to other pieces of this length. I trimmed them also to make the ends look nice and thick instead of thin and ugly. The 22 inch set was actually not so bad so I did not have to trim it by very much. The 24 inch sets were just so thin at the ends that I went ahead and trimmed them to the length that I trimmed the 22 inch set to. So now, they are all the same length. Two of the sets were already #01, which saved me some hair dye. I did like the #02 set at first just because the brown contrasted with the jet black. I used to wear the brown at the bottom then all the black on top of it so it peeped out underneath. However, I did eventually get sick of it and dyed it to jet black to match all the others.

Here are the few pieces of this set:

One 9 inch piece with 4 clips

Two 8 inch pieces with 4 clips

Five 6 inch pieces with 3 clips

With all this hair, I won't have to buy anymore for quite a while. Not that I would want to. The total amount I spent on this set is $98.75 (but still cheaper than my short set). I don't normally wear these on their own just because they don't have any small side pieces to make it blend better with my hair. I usually wear it with my medium hair set to create a layered look. Haha surprising that I have enough space for all of it. I must have a pretty big head then. So here are some pictures with the extensions in:

As you can see, it's very thick. It's a lot of pieces but it creates a really nice look. You can sort of see where my hair stops. I tried to make it more obvious so you can see where my real hair stops and where the extensions start.

Wearing them in these pictures along with my medium hair set, some pieces of the short hair set, and the top piece. I love big, thick hair!

Medium Hair Set

So this is my medium hair set. I name it such because I really have only 3 lengths of hair extensions, so I just named them short, medium, or long so I can differentiate between them and it gives me a way of organizing them in their containers. Anyway, I made modifications to this set too so here is the info on the original set:

Original Set
Length: 20 inches
Weight: 160 grams
Pieces: 10 pieces
Texture: Straight
Color: #01
Material/type: Remy Human Hair
Price: $48.60
Purchased from: ebay (I don't remember the seller)

I really loved this set. It is nice and thick and I did not have to buy another set to satisfy my thick hair desire, which is surprising. It is nice and soft, softer than the other sets for some reason. I did make a few modifications though with trimming the ends for a thicker look and combining the pieces. So here what the set it is like now:

Length: 18/19 inches
Weight: unknown (150g?)
Pieces: 5 pieces
Texture: Straight
Color: #01
Material/type: Remy Human Hair

As you can see, I've cut down the number of pieces by half. Therefore, each piece is very thick. It leaves room for my head to maybe layer it with the short hair set for a thick medium hair style or with the long hair set for a super thick look. So here are the separate pieces of this set:

Two 1.5 inch pieces with 1 clip

Two 4 inch pieces with 2 clips

One 6 inch piece with 3 clips

One 8 inch piece with 4 clips

So very few pieces but very thick hair. I don't normally wear this set on its own. It is usually worn with the other sets to create a layered look to blend it better with my own hair. Although with the top piece, I don't really have to try very hard to blend at all.

As you can see, it's quite a nice thickness already. However, it's not thick enough for me, which is why I wear multiple sets. I made my short hair quite obvious so you can see where my real hair stops and where the extensions start.

Short Hair Set

My short hair set is actually a combination of two sets of hair. I wanted my hair to be thick so I bought two sets. Since I bought the sets, I've done a lot of modifications to them to make them work better for me. But here is some of the original information before my modifications.

Original Set (this is per set)

Length: 15 inches
Weight: 70g - 80g
Pieces: 7 pieces
Texture: Straight
Color: #1B
Material/type: remy human hair
Price: $49.95
Purchased from: Hair Extension Sale

Keep in mind, I bought two sets. So my total expense was $99.90 for 140g-160g and 14 pieces of 15inch hair. As nice and thick as it is, it is just way too expensive to get more. And this is only for 15 inches of hair! That's not exactly very long. The price just deterred me from purchasing from there again. And the price doesn't include shipping, so you have to pay extra for shipping. Although I did get a small discount when I purchased them, and they came with a free set of short feather extensions, I still paid about $100 for everything. That, to me, was just way too much.

Since then, I have made a lot of modifications to the set because there were still a lot of things I didn't like about it. It did not match the color of my hair, so I had to dye it darker to a jet black. The ends were very thin and it just did not blend well with the blunt ends of my own hair. I trimmed it to make it look thicker and blend better. I have a bob so my ends are quite thick and blunt. Also, I thought 14 pieces were just way too much and it's uncomfortable having so many clips on your head. This was my very first set so I wasn't used to having so many clips in. I ended up combining some of the pieces because the single pieces were just thin and it didn't make sense to have such thin pieces. So after all these modifications, the set was quite different from what it was before. Here is the set now:

Current set

Length: 14 inches
Weight: unknown (about 140g?)
Pieces: 7 pieces
Texture: Straight
Color: #01
Material/type: Remy human hair

One 9 inch piece with 4 clips

Two 6 inch pieces with 3 clips each

Two 4 inch pieces with 2 clips each

Two 2 inch pieces with 1 clip each

So I've made it quite a thick set in just a few pieces. To be honest, I like it that way. Not only does it have more hair in less pieces, but it lets me have more space on my head to put on more hair extensions! I just love having super thick hair but who doesn't?

As you can see, it isn't very long but it is quite thick. I made where my hair ends obvious so you can see where my hair stops and where the extensions start.
