With all these games that I want coming out on the new 3ds console, I just knew I had to get one. However, I wouldn't have been satisfied with just any ordinary console. My DSi and 3DS XL have both been limited edition, so I thought I would continue that. Mostly, I really wanted if for the new Majora's Mask game and Happy Home Designer. I wanted to wait until a pokemon limited edition out but with no news yet on a new pokemon game, I decided to go ahead and get the limited edition Hyrule Gold that came out on October 30. Of course I pre-ordered on my local gamestop. These LoZ ones always sell out quickly. I wasn't able to get my hands on the Majora's Mask one when it came out because I didn't have money at the time but that's ok, I like this one better. The AC Happy Home Designer bundle was also cute but sadly it was a reg size one rather than XL and I don't think I could revert to a smaller console.
The console was $199.99 and since I was already there, I went ahead and bought three other games: Majora's Mask, Happy Home Designer, and Ocarina of Time. I'm not sure yet if I want to get Triforce Heroes. I, sadly and pathetically, have no one else to play it with so that's why I don't want it. The console itself actually has more of the color of brass rather than gold.
To match, I got the Majora's Mask Gold theme available at the theme shop for $1.99 I believe. There are some sites you can download custom themes for free but I was too lazy for that. Also, I got the adventure pouch 3ds case that comes with two stylus(es?) and a screen cleaner. One stylus is a Hylian Shield and the other is a Master Sword. The screen cleaner is a map of Hyrule.
It might be a bit of an understatement to say I went on a massive and frivolous spending spree and part of it might have been retail therapy due to my horrific hair cut. Well, we may never know. Anyway, I'm happy and I have no regrets. Now time to become even more of a shut-in than I usually am.
