I. Fairy Moe Moe Grey

I love grey lenses and these lenses just looked so vibrant in pictures, so I just had to have them. I'm growing a little collection of grey lenses, if you hadn't noticed. Grey lenses are just my favorite color of lenses and I just want to try them all! I bought these lenses from an online site called Uniqso, which is where I've bought most of my lenses so far.

Uniqso always has such cute packaging. I always plan my orders so that I can have free standard shipping. They arrive usually in 3-4 weeks and always come with a tracking number. The lens containers are safely insulated within the boxes. I am a loyal customer to Uniqso because they have great customer service and always respond quickly to my messages.

The brand I.Fairy is part of the larger, more well known brand Vassen. I. Fairy Moe Moe Grey has a base curve of 8.6 mm and a diameter of 16.2 mm, but I'm always skeptical of lenses that list diameters of greater than 16 mm. The water content is 55% and the replacement period is 12 months. These lenses are considered 2 tone. These lenses are available from plano to -8.50. The lenses cost $22.90 per pair. The Moe Moe series also comes in brown.

Color&Design
Although the color is officially grey, it actually looks more hazel or golden from afar. The golden color in the middle is very prominent while the grey is on the edges and barely noticeable. Although it isn't very grey, I still love it! The gold color is so opaque and definitely eye catching. I've had may complements on how pretty the color of my eyes are. The design is very much like a 3 tone and very natural. They also do not have a thick black limbal ring, which makes them more natural. The top picture is in natural sunlight while the bottom is with flash.

Enlargement
It does say 16.2mm but I don't believe that. I don't think they are even 15mm because they don't look as large as my Princess Mimi lenses or my Kimchi Bambi lenses. They are still quite enlarging though, I would say the diameter is about 14.5mm which gives a pretty natural enlargement to those with eyes like mine.

Comfort
These lenses are very comfortable. I wore them on my graduation day and they stayed comfortable throughout the whole thing. I've never had a problem with these lenses at all. I could definitely use them all day without issue. My eyes don't tend to be on the dry side to begin with so it is rare for me to have a problem with dryness. So if you have dryer eyes, expect some typical dryness around the 8 hour mark, most likely.

Overall
If you are looking for truly grey lenses, these aren't what you should get. However, as far as a brown color goes, these lenses have a beautiful color and opacity. It provides enlargement but not too much, great for minimal makeup looks and more casual wear. They are comfortable enough for everyday use. I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested.

Expect more circle lens reviews to come! I ordered quite a haul from Uniqso for my birthday. I ordered six lenses for only $80.45 with free shipping! Quite a steal, don't you think? If you plan on ordering from Uniqso, enter my friend's discount code "SUY10" for 10% off your purchase. With that discount code, my member points, and Uniqso's monthly promotions, I was able to get $30.50 off the original price of my order! Uniqso really is my go-to place for cheap circle lenses.

College Graduation

On May 9, 2014, I officially graduated from college! These four years were difficult and tedious at times but definitely went by so quickly. I felt like it was just yesterday that I first moved to Richmond and began my college experience. It's hard to believe my days of being a student is over and I'm about to enter the working world. Uhhh I'm not sure I'm ready?

I had my first graduation at 3 pm, which was the Honors graduation. It was for all students who have been in the Honors College and are graduating with University Honors. We had to meet at the Honors College first in West Grace. I thought I was going to be late because the traffic on campus was so bad. Then they made us walk out in the heat all the way to the Singleton Center. Not to mention, we took the long way around. As my usual clumsy self, I stepped in a hole and almost fell on my face. I caught myself somehow. We had been having such cool weather but graduation day was extremely hot. There was a heat wave that particular weekend.

The graduation was not too long. As proof of graduating with University honors, we were given an Honors diploma and a medal. Then they served us food inside the Singleton center and just to socialize. I had some friends in there and we hung out for a bit because our Nursing graduation wasn't until 7 pm.

There was still quite a bit of time before the Nursing graduation so my family had a photoshoot in some of the nice areas on campus. I was wearing pretty high heels so my feet were killing me. I didn't expect to do that much walking that day. I actually changed into flip flops later on but I kept my socks on so I was the weirdo walking around flip flops and socks in 90F degree weather around campus. The flowers are from my parents and my little brother.

The Nursing graduation was at 7pm but doors opened at 6pm. It was held in the Siegel Center, which my roommate commented as an unusually large space for such a small class. The School of Nursing graduation was special in that it wasn't just an undergraduate event. We also graduated with Masters and Ph.D students. The event was a short one since we are not a very large school to begin with. We had a total of 180 graduates, including those who did not attend graduation that day.

Afterwards, I had a graduation dinner with my family and roommate that attended my graduation. My parents and brother were with me also for the 3pm graduation, and my aunt and her family joined us for the 7pm graduation. The traffic was so bad that they barely made it. They said they had arrived just as we were doing our procession into our seats. My grandmother was supposed to come but she somehow became MIA that day. Anyway, the Nursing School gave us some freebies. Graduation was definitely bittersweet. I mean, that's the end of one phase of my life. For pretty much all of my life, student life has been all I've known. I mean, I've held jobs and been slightly independent but school has been the main focus. Now school isn't even in the picture. It is a welcome change but all types of change are pretty scary at first.

My Lip Therapy Routine

This winter has been especially harsh and cold. It's probably the worst winter I have ever experienced. We had so many snow and icy days that it really messed up my schedule. Not to mention all the days where the whole day stayed below freezing. On normal winters, my lips already suffer. They suffered especially worse this last winter so I really needed to keep a routine to save my lips from being cracked and painful. So here are the products I have been using:

I have already done a review on these balm stains. You can see that review here. These are great for giving color and moisture at the same time. Although, the pink balm stain "Sweetheart" has such a much better color pay off than the red balm stain "Romantic". Another tried and true product for me is the Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm. Burt's Bees products are super moisturizing and provide great protection to cold winter winds. The only downside is they don't taste good if you accidentally lick your lips. I have a habit or licking my lips so it wreaks havoc on my taste buds. However, I use this lip balm at night and apply liberally on my lips right before I go to bed. Think of it like a moisturizing night cream except for your lips. It can work its magic through the night and my lips feel soft by the morning.

One product that I only recently started using are these Eos Lip Balms. Everyone has been using them and really raving about them. The packaging is definitely adorable. I got "Sweet Mint" and "Strawberry Sorbet" since Ulta was having a deal on these. They both smell great. I like "Sweet Mint" better because the peppermint leaves my lips cool and tingly. However, I was a bit disappointed that they don't moisturize as well as my Burt's Bees lip balms. I do have to keep reapplying it all throughout the day. The good thing about these lip balms is that they are pretty tasteless. Unlike my Burt's Bees, they don't leave a bad taste so I don't have to cringe about reapplying them and accidentally licking my lips through the day. Also, they do dry quickly so they won't leave a super sticky feeling on the lips. In a way, it's like they dry to make a barrier between your lips and the environment. In other words, this makes for a great day lip balm.

My last product is the Bliss Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub which is a bit of a splurge for me since I bought it full price at $18 at Ulta. The smells is really sweet and delicious. I love the texture. I use it right before I shower. It definitely removes dead, chapped skin because in the shower the skin pretty much comes off with ease and I am left with smooth soft lips after my shower. It does look like a small container but you don't actually need to use a lot of product to get results. I mean, sometimes I feel like I'm applying liberally but then I still have a lot of product in the container. I definitely recommend this.

So there is what I use for my lip routine. Basically Bliss lip scrub before I shower (and I usually shower at night) and then Burt's Bees lip balm after the shower and before I go to sleep. I wake up and use either my eos lip balms if I want clear lips or my revlon balm stains for some color. I'm proud to say my lips were able to survive the cold harsh winter!

Belo Essentials Night Therapy Whitening Vitamin Cream

This is another whitening cream that I bought from the Philippines. The brand Belo is quite well known and very popular there. I did want some type of whitening night cream so that I have something that works whitening through the night. I also wanted a different type of whitening product in case the whitening face washes don't work very well.
"A nutrient-rich overnight cream that nourishes and revitalizes skin as you sleep. With fruit extracts that inhibit the formation of free radicals. Pentavitin and skin vitamins for longer lasting moisture.  and the powerful combination of Glutathione, Kojic Acid, and Gigawhite for maximum whitening power. Visibly whitens in just 7 days!"
Anyway, this product claims to be hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested.

So this product has mixed reviews from me. As a whitener, it is a total flop. It did not make my face any lighter at all. I expected so much more from a Belo product since everyone in my family just raves about the Belo brand. However, as a night cream, this product is amazing. It has moisturized and nourished my skin through this terribly dry winter. I have made it a habit to put it on right after I shower. It makes my skin nice and soft and also leaves a layer when it dries to protect the skin. This layer isn't noticeable at all, nor does it feel oily. In fact, it is only noticeable how much product is on the face when you wash the face with water and it starts to become oily. When dry though, I can't even feel that it is there. Also, it has not caused me to break out whatsoever. As a whitener, I would not recommend this if you want results. As a moisturizer and night cream, I would definitely recommend.

Pokemon Y Team

Seriously, the only reason I bought a 3DS was in anticipation of this game. I mean, Animal Crossing is nice too but let's face it, I'm a Pokemon fanatic. I was so excited for this game with the whole 3D gameplay. The whole perception of the game is different and there were just so many differences from the older games. You thought the Gen5 games were a leap from the original? This Gen6 game is just a totally different thing to get used to. Still, I really love the changes. For once, I am able to customise my trainer! I mean, this was something that they really needed to do for a while. I'm glad it finally happened.

Once again, getting used to these new changes is getting harder to deal with as I get older. However, I really love this new generation. I love the whole French theme. As usual, I have all three starters. All of them are traded except for my starter and legendary. This game was ridiculously easy to level up in. Anyone else want to show me what their pokemon x/y team is like?

Dolly Eye Puffy 3 Tone Grey

I was initially attracted to these lenses because they look exactly like Barbie Puffy 3 Tone Grey, which are lenses that I absolutely loved. I really wanted to see the difference between the two lenses and see which one I would like better. No, I did not make a mistake in my pictures. When I ordered them, I was sent these Belita lenses. I don't know if they are the same thing but the lenses seem to look the same.

I do have a positive customer service story to tell. When I first got these lenses, I do believe one of them was defective. One lens just hurt so much on my eye even though I had cleaned it and well hydrated it overnight with solution. The other lens was just fine and very comfortable but that particular defective lens just hurt. When examined, there wasn't really anything wrong to be seen, mostly just felt. I sent Uniqso an email about the defective lens and they answered me the next day. They asked me to give them a picture of the defective lens cut in half, so I did. They replied that a replacement lens will be sent to me and after 3-4 weeks, my replacement lens arrived free of charge. I did not encounter any sort of hassle whatsoever. The new bottle they sent me is Dolly Eye, which is different from what they sent me the first time. I thought that was very weird but the lenses look exactly the same anyway.

The Dolly Eye brand is part of the bigger, better known brand EOS. The Dolly Eye Puffy 3 Tone Grey lenses have a base curve of 8.6 mm and a diameter of 14.5 mm. The water content is 38% and the replacement period is 12 months. These are considered 3 tone, obviously because it's part of the name. The price is $17.90 per pair, which is cheaper than most lenses. The lenses are available from plano to -10.00. The Dolly Eye Puffy 3 tone series is available in other colors such as blue, brown, green, pink, and violet.

Color&Design
The color is just gorgeous. It is pretty much the same as the Barbie Puffy 3 tone lenses that I have reviewed before. The gold colors in the middle blend seamlessly into the lighter grey. It does not ave a distinctive limbal ring but does have a darker grey outer rim. The color is so opaque on brown eyes. If you want a great color payoff, then these lenses are for you!

Enlargement
These are not the largest lenses around, nor do they have the most enlarging effect compared to some other lenses of the same diameter (14.5mm). In terms of enlargement, these are a lot more natural than other lenses. They can be worn naturally without makeup. They don't make me look all scary and alien-ish without makeup.

Comfort
These contacts are extremely comfortable. I could wear them all day without my eyes getting dry or starting to hurt. I have pretty long days so I would say on a typical school day, I wear them around 14 hours. Usually around the 14th hour, it does start to get dry, but that's normal.

Overall
These are perfect lenses for everyday wear. They give me such wonderful opaque color and enlargement without looking too unnatural. They look great with little to no makeup. They are perfect for making me look nice for my lazy days at school. It's kind of a dolly-without-really-trying look. These puffy lenses are definitely my favorite.
