Hirshhorn Museum

Now that I'm an adult with money, I'm actually making an effort to see the sights of D.C. One of the places I'd always passed by but never went into is the Hirshhorn museum. They also had a sculpture garden but it was one of those days where the wind chill made the weather single digits and I didn't want to be outside unless I had to.

The Hirshhorn focuses more on contemporary art. They had a lot of interactive art like the make your own mural thing and some other thing that uses a projector of sorts. I don't have too many pictures though. The second floor is a no photography allowed type of place but the third floor is open to photography.

The basement which has the gift shop, bathrooms, and free lockers that my friend and I utilized, was covered floor to ceiling in words.

Sadly I wasn't allowed to take a picture of my favorite piece, which was Lobster Telephone by Salvador Dali. It was so ridiculous that I just immediately loved it. Alas, I had to settle for a photo next to a photo of the piece. Oh well.
