Happy March first. I'm copying my dear friend and doing a Travel Tuesday post I guess. Mine is just in Philly though, go check out her blog for her adventures in Chile. Anyway, I went to Philly for the holidays between Christmas and New Year. I realize that was a long time ago but didn't have time to get the photos until now.
The one place my family and I really love was Reading terminal because food duh. Who doesn't love food?
Our hotel was in the middle of the city, which was great since everything was walking distance.
Our next stop: Macy's. This was the largest and fanciest looking Macy's I have ever been in. They have a light show on a wall you can see from all four floors that we have access to, but the building itself has more floors that are reserved for offices.
The Macy's also has this special Charles Dickens Village about his store "A Christmas Carol". It was very large and in depth but to be honest, also kind of scary. The figurines had very scary looking faces. My brother was creeped out by the whole thing and didn't want to go near them. Excuse the pictures, the lighting in the whole place was very harsh.
Back out into the cold. It was time to end the day. We really only had one full day to explore the city. It's too bad really. I'd love to come back again.
The holidays are long done and it was a bit sad seeing all the festive decorations being brought down. Now I'm just suffering through what's left of winter. I can't wait until spring comes.
That Macy's is actually too beautiful wtf
