Soufeel Charm Bracelets

I have been really interested in the Pandora charm bracelets for a while but the prices horrify me. I don't make that kind of money. A friend and fellow blogger had ordered bracelets twice now from this site Soufeel, which is basically the same concept as Pandora except at more affordable prices. After seeing my friend's latest post, I decided to just go for it and try it out.

For the holidays, they had some pretty good deals. I got the basic bangle bracelet measuring 6.7 inches for $25. As for charms, I got the august birth stone swarovski for $35, the earth sign virgo swarovski for $25, the vintage camera for $25, and the solar deity charm for $30. I also got their special offer rose gold clasp bracelet for $9.99 as well as a free passenger flights charm and grey packing bag. Shipping was free. The total cost for my order was $149.99.

I am super in love with the bangle bracelet. I do also love the other bracelet but I'm clumsy and need to unclasp it carefully lest all the charms slip off, which has happened to me on multiple occasions. That's my only complaint about that. If ever, I would simply buy another bangle bracelet if I ever fill them up. This is definitely a good alternative to those expensive pandora bracelets and charms. I wear these bracelets all the time. They have become one of my everyday accessories.

My Fantasy Hair

Let me begin with a day that will live in infamy. My hair has, or at least, had become quite long. It was looking quite thin at the ends so I needed a trim to even out the ends into a blunt cut. October 19 2015, I went to my local Bubbles hair salon to get a trim and add one thin layer, which I specified as cutting no layers on hair growing  below the level of my eyebrows, with this young stylist. I added take no more than one inch from the longest strand of hair in order to even out the ends but still keep the length. In the end, my hair is three inches shorter and that's at the longest part, cut my hair into a V shape, which I specifically said I did not want, and thinned out my hair. Now I barely have any hair left and I am so angry. I still look at my hair and feel depressed.

Anyway, now that my motivations are clear, I had been looking into buying some 26 inch hair extensions for a while, but had never been able to take the plunge until now. This is a bit of a repeat of the first time I ever bought hair extensions, which was due to the miserable bob of Easter 2012. I had been seeing good reviews for My Fantasy Hair and I was attracted by the fact that their hair is quite thick at the ends. As my hair grows out, these extensions will mostly be for adding thickness at my ends but for now, they are needed for length as well.

I ordered them Monday night, they shipped by Wednesday, and arrived at my house Friday though USPS. The hair came in their free signature hair storage case and hanger. It also had a small hair extensions guide book, a pack of two extra clips, two business cards, and a sample size of their shampoo and conditioner.

I got the 26 inch deluxe 10 piece clip in set in jet black and straight ends. I did measure them and they are a full 26 inches. The color is beautiful, not a single hint of brown. The set includes two one clip wefts, five two clip wefts, two three clip wefts, and one four clip wefts. The four clip weft is a triple wefted while the others are double wefted. The set is only 230 grams so it isn't super thick but my plan is for this to simply complement my future long hair. I did not want anything too heavy but I still wanted something to add thickness to my ends. When I had longer hair, my hair was plenty heavy already so I didn't need a super thick set.

The hair doesn't seem to be stick straight, which is good because I need it to blend with my wavy hair. I did wash the hair right afterwards to get rid of that processed smell. It did bleed black a bit from the dye I presume. I used the shampoo they provided though since it was so much hair, I used some of my own shampoo as well. I was surprised that the hair was drying in a naturally wavy pattern, which was a good sign for me.

To get the waves I wanted, I sprayed the hair with Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Spray then braided the whole set into two braids. I then let it air dry. This took a while since the braids were done tightly and it is still a considerably thick amount of hair. To expedite the drying, I hung it on the hanger and hung it on the window to receive the heat from the sunlight. I would say it took about three to four days to dry.

The hanger had a crack on it. I messaged them about it and they sent me another hanger free of charge. So definitely great customer service. The hanger is made of wood so I was worried about splinters and what not.

The hair is super long and I love it. When wavy, it is the exact length I want it to be. I'm glad I went for 26 inches rather than 24. Although only 230 grams, it still looks quite thick and definitely still feels heavy. The way my hair currently is, it doesn't blend with this hair all that well due to the length differences with my layers. However, it does make for very impressive braids. My eventual goal is to simply have this hair add volume to my ends once my hair becomes long and I may not even need all the pieces for that.

My Christmas Presents

This Christmas seemed to just creep up out of nowhere. I felt like I barely had time to get the presents and decorations together. Well one thing is for sure, it turned out to be a very Star Wars Christmas. Christmas Eve, it was so warm that there was no need for a fire. Instead of watching the yule log burn on TV, we had a loop of Darth Vader at his funeral pyre from Episode VI. Played some battlefront and as a whole, we got a lot a Star Wars merchandise.

I got a lot of early Christmas presents from my friends. I got a whole bunch of lashes from House of Lashes. I got the three pack of the precious and a three pack of the darling bottom lashes as well as one set of feline lashes. It also came with a free gift of the travel size glue and a lash ruler. I also got the MerVamp Seashell crop top from adorkable apparel that I had wanted. Another friend had gotten me the Science pack, design pack, and sixth expansion set from Cards Against Humanity. My fellow blogging friend indulged my Star Wars nerdiness and got me a yoda hat and A LIFE SIZE CUT OUT OF KYLO REN. We had him posed with the Christmas tree throughout the holidays. Now he is in the basement next to out Star Wars display shelf.

I did get a nice leather back pack from Zara that I had always wanted as well as a higher capacity portable charger and USB Nintendo 3DS charging cord that I needed. From my aunt I got a nice Alex and Ani bracelet, headband, cute tiny purse which I'm figuring out how to use since my phone doesnt fit in it, and lotion. I also got quite a few starbucks giftcards. I got new tennis shoes for work like I needed and a pair of warm shoes for the house. I got even more lotion, a nice sturdy glasses case, and OPI nail polish from relatives we visited in New Jersey. I also got a nice black circle scarf, which was lucky because I had been thinking of buying a black scarf, and a monotone checkered shawl that I had also been thinking of buying. The relatives are reading my mind this time around.

I didn't list any presents I bought for myself because there would be too much. I am a horrible spender and I definitely have a treat yo self attitude when it comes to needing retail therapy. Yikes! I'm so sad the holidays are over and that soon the decorations in malls and shopping centers will be taken down. Bye bye festivities, until next year.

Cards against Humanit: Eight Days of Hanukkah

Because I just love cards against humanity, I decided to go ahead and purchase their whatever you call it deal for the eight days of Hanukkah. It was only $15 anyway and I was in the mood for receiving surprises in the mail.

Night 1
Socks. I definitely did not expect socks.

Night 2
Socks again. Well it is true that you can never have too many socks.

Night 3.
Socks. Again. I was about to wonder if they were gonna send me eight pairs of socks.

Night 4.
Surprisingly not socks. The Jew pack and a certificate for a CAH fund. Thirteen white cards and two black cards.

Night 5
I got a one year membership to NPR for one year as well as a cute little notebook

Night 6
This was a particularly cute one. Along with a little comic, there were also pictures and notes from employees from their printing factory in China. Our money was able to give them a one week paid vacation.

Night 7
Part two of Jew Pack as well as a little picture of  Picasso's Tete de Faune.

Night 8
The last night! Apparently they bought a castle and I get to be King for three minutes?

For $15, I thought this was a good buy. It was fun getting something in the mail through the whole month. I would totally do it again next year. Each one came with an interesting letter too. Anyway, you can see more about these gifts at here where CAH goes into more detail about each day.
