Post Thanksgiving 2013 Shopping: Forever 21 Haul

After Thanksgiving, I also did a bit of shopping at Forever 21. They were having their "50% off all sale items" sale which is totally awesome. I don't think I ever really shop there unless they are having that sale. Anyway, of course all sales are final. Not that it matters to me. I don't buy clothes unless I absolutely love it. Seriously, I can spend hours in a store deciding if I want to buy it or not. Here are the stuff I bought.

This basic ivory top with a lace design on the front and a 3/4 sleeve was originally $12.80 but I got it for $4.49. I was a little unsure of this top at first but once I put it on, I really liked it. I'm short and thus have short arms so the 3/4 sleeve could almost be a full long sleeve on me. Next is a simple cream top with a really cool low back and metal designs on the shoulders. It was originally $17.80 but I got it for $5.99. Then I bought two sweaters. The black one is super duper comfy and warm. I do like the simple design on the neckline and shoulders. It was originally $24.80 but I paid $8.49. The silver jacket is the most expensive of the bunch, being originally $22.80 but I paid $15. Anything over $10 feels like a lot for me. The silver sweater is thinner than the black one but still very comfortable. All this plus tax was only $35.77, which seems like a pretty good shopping day to me.

Post Thanksgiving 2013 Shopping: Charlotte Russe Haul Part 2

Of the entire haul, these shoes were my ultimate splurge. Seriously, I never spend this much on anything. I love boots though and I have always been eyeing these litas for like forever. Probably years now ever since they first came out. Actually, I think I have been wanting to buy myself litas ever since my friend bought these beautiful red and black litas and wore them to school in junior year of high school. So yeah, that was a long time ago. And now, I'm finally creating my own little collection of my dream shoes. I've always been a boots type of girl. Anyway, Charlotte Russe had a deal where if you buy one pair of shoes, you get the second pair for $15. For once, I had money to spend. So I decided to go ahead and splurge.

Charlotte Russe describes the style of these shoes as "PUFFIN 06" and the color is taupe. You can order these shoes online here and they cost $48.50 but I was able to get them for $15. The shoes are made of Vegan leather upper with a lace up front and an inner 5.5 inch zipper. It has a hidden platform that is 1.25 inches tall while the heel itself is 4.5 inches tall, which are the same as my coral boots. I originally wanted the white one but they didn't have it in my size and they didn't have any other colors. Looking back now though, I'm glad I got these because white is so much harder to keep clean. Also, I originally wanted the suede version of these shoes but they didn't have it available. Once again, suede would have been more maintenance so this was a good choice.

Charlotte Russe describes the style of these shoes as "Sunny S" and the color is black. Interestingly, I can't seem to find these shoes on their website so I wonder if they don't sell it anymore. They have two gold buckles that also have a lace up front. It also has an inside zipper. I believe these are suede. The heel is slightly higher than the brown ones, I would guess that the hidden platform is 1.5 inches tall while the heel is 4.75 inches tall. These are $50, which I paid full price for. Even though it was a hefty amount to pay, I don't regret it. These shoes, both of them, are just so beautiful. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Post Thanksgiving 2013 Shopping: Charlotte Russe Haul Part 1

This is a little late, I know. I didn't have time to make a post until now. Instead of shopping during black Friday or online shopping Cyber Monday during Thanksgiving, I did most of my shopping afterwards. I don't know. I just didn't find any good deals that motivated me to go out shopping on Black Friday. Not to mention I always have some kind of apprehension with buying things online. I just prefer trying things on first before buying them so online shopping just isn't for me. Anyway, when I went to Charlotte Russe that Tuesday night, they were having a blowout sale. This will be part one of my haul.

I saved a lot of money during this shopping trip. I got all these things for only $5! Quite a steal, if you ask me. The green shirt described as the Aztec print with the tie front was originally $14.99. The white top with the silver metal design on the shoulders was originally $12.99. The white summery top with the gold buttons is originally $19.99. Then the lace skirt was originally $24.99. So overall, I saved about $53 dollars in this purchase! I'm very happy about that. You know me. I'm always looking out for good deals.

Thanksgiving 2013

This is such an extremely late post, I know. After all, it's not even 2013 anymore! Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the pictures from my Thanksgiving at my house. All I did was set up the table because I can't cook. This is a little insight into my house, which I rarely post pictures of to begin with. Usually I'm in my apartment at school. I hope you guys like my house!

For our Thanksgiving dinner, we of course had turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. We also had some salad and baked sweet potatoes and honey ham. Our breakfast table had cheese and cracker appetizers and dessert. My mom made the chocolate cake and the cupcakes are from Georgetown Cupcakes. The flavor is Apple Caramel which I heard had been discontinued. We had some very fall themed flowers as centerpieces. You can see my brother on the stairs in one of the pictures playing on the Ipad. On the last picture are some family photos. On the very right in the yellow frame is a picture of me in kindergarten. Next to that is a photo of my brother. To the left is one of the photos from my high school graduation. The next photo is blocked but the one after that is another picture of me when I was around 6 years old and at my uncle's birthday. So many potential "Throwback Thursday" pictures! Anyway, I hope you all liked the pictures. We worked hard during the day to impress the family with hosting Thanksgiving.

ARDELL Fashion Lashes

I had been looking for some really nice false lashes that are more dramatic than the ones I had bought before. I have recently been expired more and more by heavy gyaru makeup with really nice false lashes. I went to my local ULTA store to get some cheap but nice quality false lashes. Most of their selection of false lashes were Ardell. They also had a deal for buying one, getting the second 50% off. I also had a coupon. These lashes are originally $3.99.

These lashes are 106. They are black and quite thick. They are longer than my natural lashes but they aren't overly dramatic. The style of these lashes are very much like the Japanese false lashes that I see online. It doesn't come with lash glue but I do have my own. I really love these lashes. They don't look so unnatural so I can use them for more casual events. They are extremely comfortable and easy to apply. I would definitely buy this again.

These lashes are 111. They are black and not as thick as 106, but definitely much longer in length. These are extremely dramatic lashes that are immediately noticeable. I do like how the outer corners extend outwards. These are lashes that I would wear to a very formal event where everyone really dresses up because these would make me stick out too much at a casual event. I love the length and style but I do wish they were thicker. I probably would not buy this again but I would look for something like this but with the thickness of 106.

These are my first time trying Ardell lashes and I really like them. They are soft and comfortable and easy to apply. They are relatively inexpensive and have so many styles available. I wouldn't mind trying other styles of their lashes next time I visit ULTA.
