Quinceañera + MOTD

I went to a friend's goddaughter's Quinceañera a while back, my first Quinceañera ever! I don't know. I just didn't have any Hispanic friends when I was growing up so I didn't know anyone who would have a Quinceañera. I was really excited to attend one. Also, it gave me an occasion to dress up nicely. I really took my time getting ready and looking nice for this event.

The event was at 3pm but I left early around 2pm because it was at a place I was unfamiliar with and I had to drive myself there. When I arrived, there was no one in the parking lot. Well the reason there was no one there was because my GPS had brought me to the wrong place! It took me to a building a little down the street from where I should be.Once I did find the place, I was technically a little late but things were not ready yet.  Still, I had time to chat with a friend and take some selfies. I was really proud of my makeup that day. I thought I did quite good.

I know I used some of these pictures before. I am wearing my Ardell top lashes and some bottom lashes from the Philippines. For my eyes I used my Lorac pro palette. I used champagne on the inner corner then put lt bronze all over the lid. Then I used taupe on my crease. I used Etude house liquid liner on my lid then Ulta liner on my water line. I also lined my eyeliner with black. For my primer, I used the Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer. I'm also wearing my Kimchi Bambi Grey lenses. I used my Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream but it's not very tinted so some redness in my face still shows. (Shhh I edited it out of my pictures. Don't tell anyone!) I had an elaborate elixir of items for my lips. I started with Ulta Double Duty lip stain then line my lips with Ulta Contour Lip Liner Punch. I then use Revlon balm stain Romantic for some hydration on my lips then lastly Maybelline Stain Gloss Berry Heavenly. I really want my lip color to stay on.

The name of the birthday girl was Anahi. Isn't that such a pretty name? I've never met someone with such a name before. I wonder if it is unique. The theme of the party was light blue and light pink, almost like cotton candy. They even had a cotton candy machine! The cake was so large and it tasted yummy. They had a three course meal and an MC trying to hype up the crowd. Of course, everything was in Spanish so I couldn't really understand anything. My Spanish is so terrible. The birthday girl and I guess her entourage (I don't know what to call it!) did some really awesome and daring performances. Then there was more dancing and dessert. It was lots of fun!

I was super tired when I got home but it was well worth it. My makeup did manage to stay on although it can't hide my tired expression. I've even left a mess in my bathroom from getting ready. Still, I had so much fun and it was definitely something that will remain memorable, I think, in my lifetime.
