Long Feather Hair Extension (brown/black)

After my experience with my short feather extensions, I really wanted to try longer hair extensions. I was browsing Ulta one day and in their sale rack, they had tons of these long feather extensions. They were cheap so I just had to get one!

So this product was only $2.99, which is super cheap for ULTA. In fact, I would say these are cheap even by ebay standards. What I also like about them is that they have a piece of synthetic black hair attached that wraps around so it looks like a rope and it goes down to the bead where the feather is. So it looks like you have a piece of hair integrated with the feather. It's pretty cool.

It's actually longer than my real hair so I tend to wear it with extensions. It's a nice long length. In the picture, I'm wearing it with my short hair extension set.

So this nice set of feather extensions, I actually got for free as part of a Christmas deal along with my 15 inch hair extension set. It did not come like this though.

The clips did not come with it. I have these clips from my extensions when I combined some of the pieces, which warranted taking out the clips on a few pieces. I still have a lot left over in terms of these black clips. Now here is how I modified these to become clip ins.

I bought a whole lot of tiny black rubber bands from the dollar store. They are so small and that is what I used there. I cut two of them in half and looped them through the holes of the clip. Then lined them up with the feather and used the micro ring to attach them together. This was a pretty simple task to do. It turned out quite nicely.

I usually like to wear two at a time, one on top of the other. It looks nicer to me than just having one. They are good sized feathers and very visible, especially against black hair.
