Revitalift Night Cream by L'Oréal Paris

Many of you may not know this but I am turning 22 at the end of August and that scares me. I am terrified of aging and growing old and becoming an adult and having to pay for all my own insurances. Like what? I don't even know how to get insurance. Do I even have a credit score? I'm pretty sure mine is nonexistent right now. Those things aside, I feel like my skin is aging. It might be because I'm so harsh and uncaring to it and that will bite me in the butt down the road. So I thought to invest in some anti-aging products.

I bought this at my local ULTA store. It was originally $16.99 but that week, the product was on sale for $14.44 and I had a $5 off coupon so I only paid $9.44. Quite a substantial mark down, I believe. I never pay full price for anything anymore. It is one of many products in its series, which include Revitalift cleansers, day lotion, eye cream, and serums.

Here are some of the things it says on the box. On the front of the box, it claimed to have retinol, which seems to be the new popular thing in anti aging products and supposedly the best thing to have. I'm no expert with anti aging products and what ingredients do what but I do recognize collagen and this product has three types of collagen which I assume will help make my skin firmer. When I looked at all the products in the series, they all seemed to have these same "8 natural lifters" so I bought the one with the bigger container for the same price. I decided to go with the night cream because that's when I would apply it, most likely.

What I like about this product is that it can be used for both the face and neck. I fear the loose skin (aka turkey neck) that comes with aging. In my opinion, prevention is key. I see articles recommending that you should start using anti aging products in your 30s but I don't really see articles discouraging the use of anti aging products in your 20s. This product is moisturizing and since I needed a moisturizer, I thought to get a moisturizer that had other benefits as well. Two birds with one stone, right?

The cream is white but goes on clear on the skin. It does have a smell that I think is pleasant though not everyone may like it. I find that my skin becomes super moisturized in the morning and very smooth to the touch. It feels really nice. It didn't make me break out, which is good. When I apply it to the area underneath my eyes and my eyelids, I get more eye crusties than usual in the morning but it isn't unbearable or anything. I don't know if my skin looks any younger and maybe my skin isn't as old as I feel just yet, but it doesn't hurt to do some preparation for old age, I think. After all, is it bad to be too prepared for aging skin?

    1. Sure. I stopped using it since I didn't bring it with me to the Philippines but I've started using it again.
