Benefit Cabana Glama

So I got this makeup palette for Christmas. To be honest, I did not know the brand benefit. I'm sure a lot of makeup gurus are shocked and laughing at me for saying such a thing. I really am not very knowledgeable about makeup at all. I barely use makeup at all.

I thought this makeup kit is super cute. It comes with a little lip gloss, three eye shadows with an eye shadow applicator, a brown powder with a small brush, and a little container of foundation. And it comes with a mirror. The box is super adorable.

So my family likes to tell me that I'm dark so they got me this makeup kit in "medium". Well the problem is I'm not medium and the foundation and powder are too dark for my skin. I guess I could use them for contouring. The foundation is not that thick and heavy, but the difference in color with my skin is pretty obvious. The lip gloss is pretty sheer with a hint of pink, even though it looks super pink in the bottle.

From top to bottom: peach fizz, bronze buzz, cocoa pizzazz. I absolutely love these colors. And they do nicely shimmer. I can definitely see myself using these colors very much in my makeup. They would be great for more neutral colored looks. I like more natural colors with my eyeshadow.

Well, my first Benefit product and I absolutely love it :)

Jerdon Lighted Makeup Mirror

Let me start with this: I have terrible eyesight. So I really need good lighting for me to be able to do my makeup. I usually do my makeup in the bathroom but nothing beats doing makeup with sunlight. The overhead bathroom lights cast shadows from my hair that make it hard to see my face. I'm so blind. So with my Christmas money, I really wanted to buy something to help with that.

I browsed Amazon and found this item for $14.99. It was the cheapest of all the ones I saw and the only one with a replaceable bulb. I wasn't sure how I would fix any of the other ones if the light stopped working. It was available for prime shipping (since I have Amazon prime and it's really great) and the extra light bulbs, which cost $6 for a pack of two, were available as add ons for prime shipping.

So I read reviews of this and a lot of the lower rated reviews say that this mirror isn't bright enough. I honestly have no idea what they are talking about! Turning it on was like putting the sun in my face. I was blinded. I swear, having my face near the mirror was tanning. The light from the bulbs emitted quite a bit of heat. I might take out two of the bulbs so it wouldn't feel so hot. But it is definitely bright enough.

Princess Mimi Sesame Grey

I have been looking forward to getting these lenses for a while now. I had the princess mimi apple green before but I just wasn't satisfied with it and green isn't really my color in terms of contacts. I wanted this color but they didn't have it in stock in my prescription at the time.

I got this pair from Uniqso. I took advantage of their Christmas special, which included free standard shipping for orders over $30 and a special mystery gift on orders over $50. It was a pretty awesome deal. I love the site and the owner is super quick with replies to your questions. So here is the information provided by the site on the lenses:

The price of a piece is $11.90, making a pair cost $23.80. This pair may seem pretty pricey but I find them to be well worth it. Not to mention, I find GEO to be a very trustworthy brand. You can check the authenticity of your GEO lenses here.

I just love the Uniqso packaging boxes. They are so cute!

Color & Design
I love the gray. I thought it would too dark to be noticeable like the other gray GEO lenses I've tried but that isn't the case! I love the princess design with the dark limbal ring reaching inwards through the gray. I love how it transitions into a yellowish gold in the middle. I think it's absolutely beautiful.

Enlargement
GEO 15mm lenses are the most enlarging lenses  have tried so far. They do make me look very dolly. I've only tried one other lens that boasted above a 15mm diameter but that just wasn't true.

Comfort
Oh my gosh, so comfortable! Which is weird because the green ones, being the same brand and type, just a different color, had terrible comfort. When I tested how long these lenses can stay comfortable, they lasted well over 12 hours! (very bad by the way, don't do that) I barely felt a thing all day until the very end when I started to get sleepy and my eyes would naturally get dry.

Now here are some cam-whore pics.

-----Comparison-----
Anyway, here are some side by side comparisons of the Princess Mimi Sesame Grey with the Princess Mimi Green Apple. I personally like sesame grey better, but if green lenses are your thing, green apple is a great choice!

Heterochromia? Lol I wish. I am wearing apple green in one eye and sesame gray in the other. Can you tell? I can barely tell. They do look very similar from far away, especially in dimmer settings. You can only really tell close up.

Christmas Money Shopping Spree

I had some Christmas money left and I really wanted to buy myself some new clothes. So I head over to the mall nearby to find myself something cute and hopefully also some pretty good deals.

Forever 21 / XXI

I love the two story forever 21 and I especially love their large sale section. Hehe, I can't resist a sale. I never buy anything at full price. I'm so cheap. Here is what I bought:

The shirt was $6.99 and the skirt was $7.99. They look really nice together. These were exactly the cheap deals I was looking for.

Charlotte Russe

Another one of my favorite stores. I can usually find a good deal here. Some past good deals are the black peacoat I got for $15 and my blue homecoming dress for $13, black flats for $9.99, and countless other items. Charlotte Russe is definitely one of my go-to places for good deals.

They had skirts like this of pretty much every color for only $10! I just love the high-low style and it had such a pretty lace pattern. I had to have it!

H&M

I love this store. It always has something for cheap. I do like when they have their sale rack where everything is $5. I can always find something nice and inexpensive in this store.

This shirt was so cute and only $9.95. I love the lace on the shoulders. It was also available in blue and orange, as well as a flower print and a cheetah print.

The Limited

I don't usually go to this store but there was a sign outside saying they had some things for $6.99 and up. I found $6.99 a little too good to be true for that store since that store is usually pretty expensive but I went ahead and looked anyway.

I found this cute shirt for $6.99, one of only a few things I found that were actually $6.99. You have to look at their sale rack though and not the normal racks that just have a discount. It was originally $39.90 so this was a really good deal.

That's it for now.

I still have a bit of money left. Who knows what else I could still find and buy?

HTC EVO 4G LTE

New phone!

I was so excited to upgrade my phone because my old palm pre just wouldn't work anymore. It was basically just a phone. I couldn't send emails but for some reason I could still receive them. Google maps would never work. The internet would never work. I could not send picture mail but I could still receive them... sometimes. Sometimes it would say error in downloading. I was so annoyed by this phone. I was eager to get an android phone.

The theme of my phone is Hello Kitty. I really did girlify my phone. Above is a picture of my background (I love how I can take screenshots!). I got my background from here. It's just a bit of a modified version of it because the phone is weird like that.

I'm so glad to finally have a phone that makes it easy for me to access so many social networking sites. I have no life obviously. That's pretty much it for my social interaction outside of school. Anyway, here are the items I got to decorate my darling phone. Gotta love ebay!

Unfortunately, that red ribbon is breaking. One of the sides is cracked and I don't expect it to last much longer. It sticks out and I love that about it but it makes it easy to break. Oh well. I've got another one, a different one, on the way from China. Hopefully, it comes before this one breaks!

Hello Kitty Glasses

...well technically, they used to be Hello Kitty sunglasses. They used to look like this:

Price: $2.99
Bought from: ebay
Seller: ebsalers-09

Well, they don't look like that anymore, only just a little. I was expecting it to be much bigger because I like really big sunglasses. It didn't meet up to my expectations so I ended up not using it as sunglasses. Instead I asked my friend to pop out the lenses for me. Now they look like this:

Clarisonic Mia I - Sonic Skin Cleansing System

I had been thinking of buying this for a while before but I just didn't have the money for it. I heard wonderful reviews of it though, both online and from people I know. I had put the thought of buying it out of my mind a while ago because I just didn't have the money. However, my parents got it for me this Christmas! Let me show you my awesome presents in my stocking from Christmas 2012 :

That's the box and the manual with instructions. Then they gave me a replacement brush with it.

Like it says, replace the brush every three months. These replacement brushes, I found out, are pretty expensive. They are $25 but there is a deal where you can get 2 for $40 on the Clarisonic website. The one that came with the pack is a normal brush. This one, as you can see, is the deep pore cleansing. The other types of brushes they have are sensitive, delicate, acne, and body. You can look here for what Clarisonic says about the different types of brushes.

These are the different face washes that I got in my stocking. They are both considered trial size cleansers. One of them came with the kit while the other one was separate. Oh, and if you see the top picture, the kit came with a cute pouch that is able to hold it all!

So I had to charge it for 24 hours according to the instructions. Then, when you press the button, it will be on for only one minute. It really isn't very long but that's what they recommend. So only a minute for each wash. It turns off automatically after one minute. I find that it is pretty effective, especially in my terrible nose area.

Hopefully, I'm more than just a few steps closer to perfectly clear skin!
